🌍 YouthLens: A new initiative to empower young people in the Western Balkans!

With the aim of strengthening media literacy, developing digital skills, and encouraging active civic participation, YouthLens officially began its journey in Athens. The project’s kick-off meeting took place on 2-3 June 2026, hosted by XENIOS POLIS.

The two-day meeting brought together 10 representatives from the six partner organisations-XENIOS POLIS, ARSINOE, Center for Education and Development, Young Professionals Network, COSV, and Youth Initiative for Human Rights-from Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo. The programme’s Project Officer also joined online.

Discussions focused on jointly planning the next steps. Partners reviewed the project’s objectives, activities, and expected outcomes, with particular emphasis on developing the research package and training programme. They also agreed on the management framework, implementation timeline, and key milestones.

Running for 36 months and co-funded by the European Union, YouthLens will support young people in Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro, strengthening their skills and participation in today’s digital and civic life.
