YOUTH-LENS: Learning, Engagement, Networking and Skills in Media Literacy is a transnational project that aims to empower young people to address the challenges of the digital era, including misinformation, digital exclusion, and declining civic participation. Through innovative educational activities and international cooperation among partner organisations, the project promotes media literacy, critical thinking, and the development of digital and social skills.

The project primarily targets young people aged 16–30, with a special focus on individuals with fewer opportunities and communities facing social and digital inequalities. By combining non-formal education methods, interactive workshops, digital tools, and international exchanges, YOUTH-LENS seeks to strengthen young people’s active participation in democratic life and support their meaningful inclusion in the digital society.

A key objective of the project is to equip young people with the skills needed to critically assess information, use digital media responsibly, and actively engage in social and civic processes. At the same time, the project contributes to the creation of sustainable educational resources and reinforces cooperation among organisations and youth from different countries.

The main objectives of YOUTH-LENS include:

  • strengthening media literacy and critical thinking skills among young people,
  • improving access to digital education for young people with fewer opportunities,
  • promoting active civic engagement and participation,
  • fostering leadership, cooperation, and intercultural exchange through transnational activities and mobility opportunities.

The partnership brings together organisations from Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo, promoting intercultural dialogue, regional cooperation, and the exchange of good practices across the Western Balkans and beyond.
